From January 1, 2021, all building permit applications for new construction, both residential and commercial, must comply with the requirements for Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (BENG).

(the amount of heat transmitted per second, per m², and per degree of temperature difference between one side and the other side of a roof construction). For the roof, BENG 1 specifies a thermal transmittance of 6.3W/m2.K.

To achieve the maximum thermal transmittance, preventing a linear thermal bridge (cold bridge) is essential. A hole in the construction due to the penetration of cabling needs to be sealed. The correct sealing not only prevents energy loss but also avoids moisture problems and mold formation. The sealing of the passage of solar panel cabling through the roof is therefore crucial.
