Routing solar panel cabling is now fire-safe and airtight with PVtube

Residential construction sector

To improve fire safety in solar panel installations, the DC PLUS and MIN cables must be routed separately and airtight through the roof, in accordance with NPR 5310 (based on the international IEC 60364 standard). For all new constructions, including both residential and commercial buildings, permit applications submitted from 1 January 2021 must comply with the Nearly Zero-Energy Buildings (NZEB) requirements.

Once through the roof, the cabling must be routed in a cable tray or conduit to the inverter. As this is preferably done behind the knee wall, it is important that this is carried out with guaranteed separation. Therefore, it is advisable to route the PLUS and MIN cables separately through a Hostalit pipe.
