Insurance specialist Harry Wolkenfelt, owner of Solarif, chooses the Batteryshelter from Conduct
It is expected that battery storage will play an increasingly important role in the coming years. It is therefore important that batteries are installed carefully and safely.
On 3 March, a Batteryshelter was installed at the home of Harry Wolkenfelt, owner of insurance advisory firm Solarif. Solarif specialises in insurance, risk management, and project mediation in the solar energy sector. The company is committed to making investments in solar energy safe, efficient, and profitable through insurance and risk management.
At the property, a home battery has been installed, and a white Batteryshelter from Conduct has now been placed around it. In addition, an off-grid manager has been installed, which is now equipped with a white protective roof. The installation was carried out by Lex van den Acker and Tom Bruijne from Solurion.
The house is located beneath an old linden tree, which causes significant issues with falling leaves, seeds, and dead branches. During the summer months, there is also contamination from aphid droppings.
Safely installing a home battery
Installing a home battery requires professional expertise. In principle, placing a home battery is safe, but it does involve certain risks. The Batteryshelter has been developed to keep these risks outside the home.
“My battery is installed outside. That is a very conscious choice. By placing it externally, I literally remove the primary risk from my home. With the Batteryshelter, I protect my installation against possible external damage and contamination. This not only reduces the fire risk but also the risk of technical disruptions,” says Harry Wolkenfelt.
