Home batteries are becoming increasingly relevant
Solar panels generate the most electricity when the sun is shining. However, this is not always when you use the most energy at home. A home battery can temporarily store generated electricity so that it can be used at a later time. In addition, the Dutch energy system is changing. From 1 January 2027, the net metering scheme will end. As a result, households with solar panels will increasingly benefit from considering how they can use as much of their self-generated electricity as possible, either immediately or at a later time. A home battery can be part of such a smarter energy system.
Where should you install a home battery?
A home battery requires a suitable location, and not every home has enough space available. Perhaps you would rather not have the technical installation in your utility room, garage or attic. Or you may simply prefer to use the available indoor space for other purposes.
That is why Conduct has developed a dedicated solution. The home battery can be installed outside the home in an enclosure specifically designed for this application. This means that energy storage does not have to take up valuable space inside your home.
