The PVbox SB.4.NF.T1.NSX.8IN.8OUT.M is a high-quality generator connection box designed for the safe and efficient power distribution of solar panel installations. Equipped with integrated DEHN Type 1+2 DC surge protection, it safeguards the installation against direct and indirect lightning strikes and voltage spikes. This enhances the lifespan of connected equipment and increases the reliability of the PV system.
The PVbox features 4 MPPTs and 8 input and 8 output MC4 connections, enabling quick and easy installation without additional cabling. The internal wiring consists of 6 mm² solar cables (red/black) with MC4 connectors and a 16 mm² PE cable, pre-assembled with terminal blocks for secure grounding. The IP65 polycarbonate housing provides optimal protection against dust, water, and UV radiation and includes a vent gland to prevent condensation.
The PVbox is standardly equipped with MC4 connectors (M) but can optionally be configured with gland connections or combinations (MT, W, WT, WM, MW). The product complies with the requirements of IEC 60364 and relevant international standards, including IEC 60364-7-712, IEC 61439-1 and IEC 62305-4 (current editions), including equipotential bonding and return current protection. Additionally, the PVbox is modularly expandable with string fuse holders (F) and a DC load switch (S50/FS50), depending on installation requirements.
This PVbox also supports multifunctional expansions, such as combiner box functionality, integration with battery storage systems, PValarm for theft and sabotage protection, and FireSwitch for fire safety. Compatibility with RoofSupport cable management further enhances installation efficiency.
